Discerning travellers who seek an experience above the ordinary will appreciate the Commodore’s International standard Business Level accommodation.  Located on the third and fourth floors, Business Level guests have exclusive access to our most secluded and private floors, with entry via our unique glass elevator with its exceptional views of the Southern Alps mountain range.

Superior plus accommodation meets international business-class standards with designer bathrooms, a climate controlled environment, our exclusive custom-made ‘Heavenly beds’, and contemporary lounge furniture. The LCD television, DVD player, and high-speed and wireless Internet connections provide the best possible access to information and entertainment.

Practical as well as elegant, our Superior Plus accommodation also has plenty of room for luggage, closet space, an ironing board and hair dryer.

Four star accommodation, five star service.

Our 107 Superior Rooms deliver excellent value for money, with all rooms generously sized at more than 36 square metres (390 square feet). They provide all the amenities to make work or travel a pleasure, and for your peace of mind, all rooms have Vingcard security access. All rooms are non-smoking.

As you would expect in a hotel of Commodore’s calibre, Superior Rooms have plenty of creature comforts. Rooms have either one king sized or two queen sized beds and some with a family-style arrangement. Interconnecting rooms and rollaway beds are available. Several “accessible rooms” are available, ideal for anyone with restricted mobility.

Satellite TV is provided without charge and Broadband Internet is also available.

Family accommodation

We have a number of large family friendly rooms available. Featuring one double and two single beds, these rooms are ideal for family groups of up to two adults and three children. Interconnecting rooms are also an option.

The executive-style Peninsula room features air-conditioning, a wheelchair accessible bathroom and a private outdoor area.

The Superior Plus Hillary Suite on the Business Level is a one bedroom suite.  A common foyer joins the Hillary suite and the Superior plus room next door creating a two bedroom option featuring two Super King Size beds. The beds in the second room can be split to two king-single beds, making it ideal for a family of four. The suite includes a lounge with Plasma television and kitchenette.

Newly refurbished, the Waimakariri Suite is a Superior room with a similar layout to the Hilary Suite.  Featuring a separate lounge with Plasma television and Kitchenette.  A common foyer joins the Waimakariri suite and the Superior room next door creating a two bedroom option with one Super King Size and two queen sized beds.
